Anthony Fasenmyer Obituary

Anthony Charles Fasenmyer III
December 6, 1925 - January 4, 2021
Lenexa, Kansas - Anthony Charles Fasenmyer, III (known as "Tony" or "Ace") lived life with zest and vigor until his death at age 95, on January 4, 2021, of complications related to Covid-19.
A firm believer in the "glass half full," Ace threw himself into all he did. He was an avid gardener, an accomplished sculptor, world traveler, skier, a voracious reader, and eager consumer of world news.
Ace was born on October 6, 1925, in Kansas City, Kansas, one of five children of Sada and Anthony C. Fasenmyer, Jr. He attended St. Vincent's College and entered the Army's Specialized Officer Training Program at Kansas University. After the war he attended Rockhurst College, majored in economics, met and married Mimi Turpin. They had five children: Beth, Tony, Mary, David, and Jim.
Ace followed his father into the automotive business, culminating in his ownership of Fasenmyer Chevrolet in Raytown, Missouri. After his marriage ended in divorce in 1978, Ace moved to Colorado, then to Mexico, and finally back to Table Rock Lake in Missouri. He spent his last years at Homestead of Lenexa.
Ace is survived by his daughter, Mary Fasenmyer Robinson (Peter) of Bethesda, MD; his son, Jim Fasenmyer (Dawn) of Olathe, KS; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. All miss Ace deeply yet are happy, knowing that he is in peace with God.
Memorial services will be held in late spring. Family requests donations be made to Rockhurst University, for the Fasenmyer Scholarship, 1100 Rockhurst Road, Kansas City, MO 64110.

Dear Mary and Family,
I am so sorry to see that your father has passed away. I shall place him on our prayer chain at St Ann tomorrow. God be with him. May he rest always in God's peace. We used to have some really fine discussions when he was living at Brighton. I am so sorry he has been a victim on COVID. What an awful time. Peace be with you all.
