Bernita "Bunny" I. Smith, 90, Overland Park, KS, passed away January 3, 2005, at Overland Park Manor. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, January 8, 2005, at McGilley & Hoge Chapel, with burial to follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Stanley, KS. Visitation will be from 5:30-8 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home. Bernita was born June 12, 1914, to Howard and Fern Brunt. She retired from the Shawnee Mission School District in food service in the mid 1980's, working at Milburn Junior High School. She was preceded in death by husband, William Smith. She is survived by son, Bill Smith and his wife, Reatha, Dodge City, KS; daughter, Barbara McDaniel and husband, Rocky, Overland Park, KS; three grandchildren, Curtis Smith, Brett Smith and wife Trisha, and Cory Kramer; and two great-grandsons, Alec Smith and Jacob Smith.
