Bess Acinger

Bess (Docman) Acinger, 84, Kansas City, KS, died Sunday, March 21, 2004, at Providence Medical Center. Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Thursday, March 25 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Skradski Funeral Home, 340 N. 6th St., KCK, with a Rosary at 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Christ the King Altar Society or a charity of one's choice. Mrs. Acinger was born March 20, 1920, in Kansas City, KS, and was a lifelong resident. She was retired from Bethany Medical Center, was a member of Christ the King Church, it's Altar Society, and the hospital visiting group. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Chambers and Mary Judy, and four brothers, Steve, Michael, Melvin, and Nick Docman. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, George J. Acinger, Sr., of the home; five children, George J. Acinger, Jr., Springhill, KS, Maryann Acinger LaRosh and husband Lyle, San Diego, CA, Steven D. Acinger, Kansas City, KS, Michael E. Acinger and wife Christol, Linwood, KS, and Joanne Acinger-Vancas and husband Nikola, Lenexa, KS; two brothers, Frank Docman, Henderson, NV, and Robert Docman; sister Sonie Docman, both of Kansas City, KS; and four grandchildren, Kim, Drew, Miles, and Colton.
