Chad Nathan Harrell, March 27, 2000 - June 12, 2017, was born in Kansas City, MO, to Nathan and Sylvia Harrell. Chad was a rising senior at Blue Valley North High School in Overland Park, KS. Chad, a truly radiant young man in every sense of the word, brought joy and laughter to everything he did. A dedicated lacrosse player, Chad is remembered by his teammates as "always smiling or humming an obscure 70's song". His favorite activities were those that he got to share, be it a variety of team sports or video game marathons with his friends. Chad personified laughter; always quick with a joke or wild stunt to elicit smiles. He found happiness in the small things like skiing with his family in Colorado, playing with his dog, Rigby, and blasting music in the car with his sisters. He will be remembered as a remarkable son, brother, friend, athlete and comedian. Chad is survived by grandparents, Melvin and Carolyn Harrell and Gene and Jan Michaels; his parents, Nathan and Sylvia Harrell; older sisters, Melanie Harrell and Krista Harrell-Stirland, and husband Connor Stirland; and countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Chad was deeply loved by all who knew him, and will continue to be deeply loved and missed as we look back in warm remembrance. Services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Friday, June 16, at the main sanctuary (building A) at Church of the Resurrection, 13720 Roe Avenue, Leawood, KS 66224.
