My dear Cindy, my first and dearest friend. Since we were 5 we were unseparable through Hall, Bliss, and Central. The distance in miles never took away my warm feelings and love for you. I thought about you often and did not know you were sick. I am moving back to Missouri and had hoped to continue where we left off. I will miss your laugh, that wonderful infectious laugh of yours. My heart is broken. I love you always. My prayers go out for your family. I will always cherish our every moment together. I love you, Joyce

I behaved myself as though he had been my friend or brother, I bow down heavily, as one that mourneth for his mother.

For you Mrs. Cindy was that kind of friend and you were that kind of a brother. Even though you only wanted only to slip away, it doesn't matter, it still hurts. And today I miss you as if I was mourning for my mother. Our friendship was so special that we would just hold our hands out and hold each other up and for that you will always be in the back of my mind and in front of my heart. Now as you rest I have peace in knowing that my friend is no longer in pain, always friendly and never selfish.

So we behaved as friends.
