Hi little brother. Sorry it's taken me so long to write you but I hope you know I think of you and miss you so much. This week will be emotional for me. Thinking of your birthday on 21st, your death on 24th and what would have been Jerry and mine 12th wedding anniversary on 22nd. Am sure somehow you know he passed away February. Please help give me strength. Perhaps you can spread the word up there too?
Love you little brother. Always did. Always will.

I grew up with Dale in Rome. We had a great time thru grade and high school. Dale played the drums very well in our attempts to become a good band. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. It truly was a simple, fun time in Rome.

I met Dale in Washington, DC many years ago. We had both attended the University of Maryland and always cheered for our Terps!! I'm glad they won that basketball national championship in 2002 for you, Dale. I know you were passionate about their basketball program. Rest easy, my friend. You will be missed.

I met Dale on the first day of High School Band practice Freshman year and thought highly of him from that day on. He was one of the classmates that I often thought about and was lucky enough to hear from briefly several years ago. I have no doubt that many people have better lives because they have known him. He will be missed.

Dale, What can I say. You brought smiles to all who knew you. We were in school together from the first grade at Rome East Grade School, then onto Rome west where I remember we all gave Mr Green and Mr Mercer hard times. You were so cute and small and then about midway thru high school at IVC you grew. You was a friend to all. I am saddened to hear of your passing. You are much too young Dale but I hope you are preparing a place for all your friends in heaven for that great reunion party when we are all together again.

Forty years later, I'm still grateful Dale and his Rome friends took in some IVC classmates from the big city -- OK, Chillicothe -- and set into motion a chain of events/memories that will never be forgotten.
I just hope the statute of limitations is up on those midsummer-night raids on the Spillman's produce stand on Route 29.
Rest in peace, Dale, and condolences to your family and co-workers through the years. By reading the Guest Book, it's obvious you did good -- for 40 more years.

Dale,
You truly had the heart of a lion and the absolute soul of a poet. You served your country with honor and diginity that only an "airman" knows. Gods speed on your journey. Rest well, my friend, knowing that that your contributions for your country truly kept us free. I miss your opinion, enthusiasm and insight of the intimate details of this nation. The nation sighed for a moment when you left us. I know that all of God's angels and guardians accompany on your new assignment. Peace my brother. Love always,
Donna
