Kansas City, Missouri - Darlene Mae Ramirez, 81, passed away on February 22, 2022 at SummitView Terrace Senior Living Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Darlene passed as she lived – on her own terms – with family by her side.
Darlene was born in Seymour, Missouri, the third of four children to Walter Ray Wise and Goldie Mae (Etheridge) Wise. Her sense of humor and quick wit matched that of her siblings.
Darlene was a valued employee of Gilbert Robinson; TJ Cinnamon; and Kivet and Myers.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, Thomas Hackett; her husband, Robert Ramirez; her brother, Delbert R. Wise; her sisters, Oleva Kelly and Yvonne Kline; her niece Jennifer Wise; and her ex-husband, William Hatton, with whom she remained friends.
She leaves behind her half-brother, Larry Wise (Joan); and her uncle Albert Ray Etheridge (Velda).
Arrangements by Heartland Cremation and Burial Society, Raytown, MO. Interment at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO on March 18, 2022 at 11AM.
Darlene's family wishes to express their love and gratitude to the staff and residents of SummitView Terrace for loving and caring for Darlene. Thank you also to Kansas City Hospice for providing Darlene with superb care and attention.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Wayside Waifs or Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care.
