David Cady Obituary

David Lee Cady
April 1, 1931 - December 21, 2020
Kansas City, Missouri - David Lee Cady of Kansas City North, died from the COVID virus on December 21, 2021 at St Luke's Northland Hospital. He would have been 90 on April 1, 2021. He leaves behind his wife of 65 years, Patricia (Pat) Cady (née Calhoon), nieces Michelle Childers and Judy (Cady) Lockwood, nephew Bart Childers and grandnephew Alex Childers, nephew Stephen Cady, sister-in-law Dee Childers and many other dear friends and relatives.
Dave served in the Air Force during the Korean War. Dave and Pat were life-long active members of the United Methodist Church. He spent most of his business life working in sales for Hygrade Foods. Dave had a life-long love of motorcycles and actively pursued that hobby all his life. He was an avid sportsman of hunting, fishing and boating. He was that "fun" Uncle that everyone should have. He taught us how to water ski, motorcycle, shoot skeet, play racquetball and make beef jerky. He was fun to hang with. You knew if you asked, he would help however he could. His skills as a mechanic were remarkable; everything he did, he did with enthusiasm and a will to learn and a desire to share that with others. Most of all he will be remembered and missed as a special brother-in-law, uncle, neighbor and friend.
