I knew Dave from his time in Peoria, IL. In the Army National Guard together, I stayed at his house on the grounds of the Country Club of Peoria once a month on weekends for a number of years. Great guy! So generous! He was so successful despite the fact that he was allergic to grass.

Dear Fearis Family, I just saw the article about David's passing in Golfdom magazine. I send my heartfelt condolences to you. I knew David from GCSAA Committee work and from annual meet ups at the Turf Conference and Show, I always sought him out to say hello and to catch-up with him. I admired him and treasured our camaraderie. God bless and keep you and bring you peace knowing David is in good hands with God. Amen. Yours truly Joel.

To The Fearis Family,
It´s is of GREAT Honor that I was able to work close with Mr. Fearis during my tenure with TFT of GKC! He would always tell me "Don´t call me Mr. just David" but it was so hard due to the respect factor toward such an amazing, caring, and gentle hearted soul. Im thankful for the friendship we had and I appreciated his support. I send my upmost thoughts and prayers to Mr. Fearis Family and Dear Friends

Lynn,
We are so sorry to hear about Dave. In the year we lived next door to you, we enjoyed our outdoor conversations with him. He always had your sweet dog with him and you could tell how much he loved his walks! We will keep you and your son in our prayers as you grieve.
God Bless you and your family,
Carole and Lee
