David (Dave) L. Heaviland, 74, Lee's Summit, MO passed away November 20, 2014. Born in Detroit, Michigan, December 29, 1939, to Clarence and Marjorie Heaviland. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lou Ann; son and daughter in law David S. and Sara Beth Heaviland; daughter and son in law Jill and Rod Smith; and son in law Mark Smith. Grandchildren, Lauren, Aaron and Tyler Hudspeth; Tayler Heaviland; Gabrielle and Spencer Smith; Bailey and Madison Smith. Brother Edward (Lois) Heaviland, Sister Ruth (Larry) Etnire, brother in law Jerry (Sally) Fetz, and several nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Lee and Ron, and most recently, daughter, Beth Smith. For over 40 years Dave owned and operated Dave's Service, Blue Springs, MO. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and a faithful Meals on Wheels volunteer. Dave's Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2014. Visitation 1-2:00 p.m., service begins at 2:00 p.m. at Community of Christ Church, 1101 NE Independence Avenue, Lee's Summit, MO. Memorial contributions can be made to Meals on Wheels, P.O.
