Diana Lynn Ortiz

Diana Lynn Ortiz, 46, of Kansas City, MO, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, January 16, 2006 at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Road, Kansas City, MO. Interment will be in Green Lawn Cemetery, Kansas City, MO. Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. until service time Monday at the Park Lawn Chapel. Diana was born December 8, 1959 in Kansas City, MO, to Robert L. and Jane M. Ortiz. She grew up in Kansas City and was a graduate of Ruskin High School. Diana was a Service Dispatcher for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. She loved to shop and spend time with her nieces and nephews. Diana was preceded in death by her mother Jane M. Pina, in 1999, brother, Bobby Ortiz, grandparents Winn and Elsie Oldham, and Fred "Happy" and Zalma Ortiz, niece Dawn Marie Ortiz Hooten. She leaves to cherish her memory, her step-father David Pina, who has loved, cared for and raised Diana from the age of 10; father Robert Ortiz and his wife McGee, sisters and brothers Janie Emerson and husband Tom, Jonas Pina, Jeffrey Ortiz, Wendy Velez and her husband Miguel, nieces and nephews Tricia Ortiz, Bobby and Christopher Ortiz, Kyle, Luis and Marissa Velez, Cheyenne, Daniel and Shannon Ortiz, great niece and nephews Krystal and Thomas Hooten, Bobby Ortiz Jr., best friend Danette and Terry Jarman, and many relatives and friends.
