DONALD KLING Obituary

Donald W. Kling, Sr., 82, Kansas City, KS, died Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Providence Medical Center.  Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 19, at the Porter Funeral Home, 1835 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, KS.  Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Grinter Chapel United Methodist Church or the Mid-America Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.      Don was born April 13, 1929, in St. Joseph, MO and had lived most of his life in the Kansas City area. He had worked for Proctor & Gamble for 38 years retiring in 1988 as an insulator. Don was a member of Grinter Chapel United Methodist Church, the P & G Retirees Club and was a Navy Air Corp Veteran.  He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Betty J. Kling, of the home, three children and their spouses, Don Jr. and Barb Kling, Overland Park, KS, Debbie and Rick McClintic, Shawnee, KS, Denise and Dennis Hays, Kansas City, KS, a brother, Norman Kling, Stillwell, KS, two sisters, Shirley Kerfes, Olathe, KS, Ethel Carter and her husband, Coleman, McKinney, TX, four grandchildren and their spouses, Dennis and Erin Kling, Ryan and Kate Kling, Jenny and Kenny Hurley and Derek McClintic, and two great grandchildren, Anastasia Kling and Owen Kling and many nieces and nephews. Betty and Family,
I was sorry to hear of Don's passiing. Maybe you will not remember me but we were good friends when we worked for Deluxe Check Pr. I will always remember you two as young marrieds so in love. My prayers are with you and your family. Dorthy Johnson

I had the PLEASURE to meet Mr Kling while he was a patient at Providence, he is the most Kindhearted patient I have ever visited with, the Employees are Saddened to hear of his passing.
