Edgar R. White

Edgar R. White went home to meet his savior on February 19, 2006. Edgar was nearly 90 years of age, residing at Alpine North nursing facility at the time of his passing. Edgar was born March 20, 1916 in Cozad, NE to Clyde C. and Darlina White. Mr. White served in the Military as a Medical Technician during WWII. He married Lucy Hershey on August 9th, 1945. He attended Nebraska Christian Bible College in Norfolk, NE graduating in 1952. Mr. White was a lifelong ordained minister serving the Christian Church. He made a living working as a maintenance/millwright man for the Kansas City Government, including the water district and several area schools. Mr. White was generous with his charities, including the Right to Life, Local Children's Homes and many Christian Education organizations. He was a member of Northland Christian Church. Edgar was preceded in death by his parents, his dear wife of 53 years, Lucy, and son, Steven White. He is survived by brother, Earl White, of Nebraska, three sons, Vincent White, Lawrence White, Norman White, and daughter Roxann Gunsaulis, all of the Kansas City area, six Grandchildren, Susan Yetter, and husband John, Dana Jeffries, and husband Daniel, Felicia Welch, Robert White, John Gunsaulis Jr., and wife Holly, and Anthony Gunsaulis, and wife Trisha, three Great Grandchildren, Devon Welch, Jesse Jeffries, and Jordan Jeffries. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 21 at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Funeral Home, 169 Hwy. & 108th Street. Visitation will precede services 1-2 p.m. at the chapel. Burial in Mount Moriah Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to, Alpha Christian Children's Home, Perry, KS, or Show-Me Christian Youth Home, La Monte, MO.
