Edward Cochran Obituary
October 8, 1935 - August 22, 2022
Jacksonville, Florida - Edward (Bruce) Cochran crossed the finish line Mon., Aug. 22 in Jacksonville, FL. Bruce was born Oct. 9, 1935 in Oklahoma City, OK to Paul Sr. and Fannie Mae. He married Carol Duer in 1958, raising their two children, Holly and Wes, in Prairie Village, KS. Bruce had a remarkable, award-winning 63-year career as a cartoonist, humorist, illustrator and writer. He published many cartoons in publications from USA Today to Field & Stream and wrote 15 books. He is survived by Carol, his wife of 64 years, and his two children, Holly (Nick) and Wes (Rachel). Five grandkids survive him: Heather, Cody, Nick, Silas, and Lydia. A remembrance service will be held Sat., Oct. 8 at 10:30 a.m. ET at Riverside Avenue Christian Church, 2841 Riverside Ave, Jacksonville, FL.

Carol and family - so sorry to hear about Bruce. I have so many wonderful memories of both of you at Cherokee Christian Church. Bruce´s talent of illustrating our various flyers was awesome! You both are missed at Overland Park Christian Church too. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.
