EDWARD M. LANE III Edward M. Lane, 86, died peacefully on October 14, 2017. Eddie is survived by his wife of 65 years, Donna, two sons Donald and Daniel, two grandchildren Lindsay and Zach and great grandchild Audrey. Edward was born Jan. 14, 1931 in Kansas City, graduating from Glennon High School continuing his pursuit of baseball before his marriage to Donna. After a long career with Armco Steel he became a world recognized knife maker and Guild Member. His pursuit of baseball continued as a Life Member and Coach for 3&2 Baseball and with 50+ Softball. He participated in ministry at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and was a member of Sheffield Lodge 625. Visitation has been scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday Oct. 19, at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd, Kansas City, MO with service to follow at 2 p.m. Contributions in his memory may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 3846 W. 75th St., Prairie Village, KS 66208.
