Eleanor Muehlberger Tomlinson

TOMLINSON Eleanor Muehlberger Tomlinson, 91, passed away June 11, 2005. A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 15 from 5:30-8 p.m. at McGilley Midtown Chapel, 20 W. Linwood Blvd., where the Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. The funeral service will be Thursday, June 16 at 10 a.m. at Guardian Angels Church, 1310 Westport Rd., followed by burial at St. Mary's Cemetery, 2201 Cleveland Ave. Eleanor was born September 20, 1913, in Clovis, NM. She was a lifelong member of Guardian Angels Church. She also was a member of the Altar Society and Catholic Women's Club. In 1930, Eleanor married Louis Muehlberger and had three children, Helen, Louis, and John. She was widowed after 29 years of marriage. Eleanor married Frank Tomlinson on July 1, 1960. He died on May 20, 1976. Eleanor was also preceded in death by her sister Margaret Pratt, brothers Bill and Gavin Duffy, and her daughter Helen Peters. She is survived by her sons Louis and wife Deanna, John and his wife Joanie; son-in-law Robert Peters and his wife Beryl; and stepsons Frank and Larry Tomlinson. Eleanor will always be remembered for her natural smile. She never found cause to complain or utter an unkind word about anyone. She will be fondly remembered by her family, friends, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of Trinity Nursing and Rehab in Shawnee, KS, for their care of Eleanor.
