EMMA A. DRAGOSH

1912 - 2014

Emma A. Dragosh, of Kansas City, Kansas, peacefully passed away June 26, 2014, at Overland Park Nursing and Rehab. She was 101 years old. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2014, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 274 Orchard Street, Kansas City, Kansas, with visitation beginning at 8AM, followed by the Memorial Mass at 9AM. Private burial services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Holy Family Church or to Crossroads Hospice. Emma was born October 4, 1912, in Kansas City, Kansas, and was a lifelong area resident. She was a Spice Formulator for Swift & Company for 27 years, retiring in 1969. She was a lifetime member of Holy Family Catholic Church and it's Altar Society, having served as President of the Altar Society. Emma was loyal to her Catholic faith and her beloved family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Anna Novak, her brother, Fred Novak and her daughter-in-law, Dorothy Dragosh. She is survived by her son, Joseph Dragosh, daughter, Carol L. McCarty (Karl), grandsons, Gary (Mary Beth) and Brian (Debra); step grandchildren, Diana Edwards, Derek Stone and Mark Stone; great- grandchildren, Nicholas (Heather), Kelsey (Brad), Monica (Rhett), Erin, Shannon, Kimberly and Zachary; great great-grandsons, Will and Jaks; and numerous nephews and nieces. The family is genuinely grateful for the sensitivity and loving care of the staff of Overland Park Nursing and Rehab during Emma's 3 1/2 year residence, as well as the loving care administered by the staff of Crossroads Hospice. She was also privileged to have the love and friendship ot Sr. M. Michael MacChesney, as well as that of her roommate, Florence Wasson.
