Everett Myers Obituary

Everett L. Myers, 78, Lenexa, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2005, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m., on Thursday, April 7, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park. Visitation 10 a.m., prior to service. The family suggests Memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association Memorial Program, PO Box 2680 North Canton, Ohio, 44720. Mr. Myers was born in Kansas City, MO, and was a long time resident of the area. Everett was a veteran of two wars, World War II and the Korean War. He retired as First Lieutenant from the United States Army. After serving his country, he returned to work at Panhandle Eastern until his retirement after 40 years of service. He and his wife, Peggy, enjoyed square dancing and round dancing. Evertt queued rounds for many square dancing clubs. Mr. Myers' other interests included golf, traveling in his RV and spending winters in Mesa, AZ. Everett is survived by his wife of 56 years, Peggy; and his sons, Rick, and his wife, Sherry Myers, of St. Charles, MO, and Steve, and his wife, Lori Myers, of Olathe, KS. Also surviving are his beloved granddaughters, Shannon, Kaitlin, and Kelly Myers. Mr. Myers was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Mrs. Myers and sons,



Mr. Myers was my very first boss when I worked at Panhandle Eastern some time ago. I can't tell you enough how lucky I was to have worked for such a nice man. He will always be in my thoughts.
