FRANK YSLAS Obituary

Frank C. Yslas, Sr., age 70, was called by Jesus to return home on Sunday, Nov. 2 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital. The Rosary with be recited at 9:00 a.m. and memorial service at 9:30 a.m. on Wed. Nov. 5th at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 2552 Gillham Rd, KCMO 64108. In lieu of flowers donations may be given to the church. Mr. Yslas was born Dec. 3, 1943 in Manor, TX to Jesus Yslas and Marcelina Castillo Yslas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Victoria M. Yslas; son, Richard Joseph Yslas; both parents; brother, Manuel Yslas; and sister, Juana Ramos. He is survived by his children, Joann M. Yslas, Rita A. Villegas, Frank C. Yslas Jr., Denise A. Martinez, Julia M. Tanney, Steve A. Yslas Sr., Tina L. Yslas, and Joseph A. Yslas; grandchildren, Victoria J. Yslas-Bindl, Mark A. Yslas, Alejandro A. Yslas, Kurtis Bidondo, Angelica Townsend, Danielle Knipp, Trevor Knipp, Jessica Burnworth, Ashley Burnworth, Devin Burnworth, Dominic Yslas, Leilani V. Fidow, Jessica L. Martinez, Ervin J. Marshall III, Steven A. Yslas Jr., Sophia Yslas, Christopher Yslas, and Macario C. Yslas; and seventeen great- grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters. Frank was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will sadly be missed by all but never forgotten. He will be remembered for his love, compassion, wisdom, and above all else his strength and courage. May God bless and keep him. We lived two houses up from Mr. Yslas and his family in the old Northeast neighborhood. Our children played with his children. Those are fond memories of 30 years ago. Frank and Victoria were kind and respectful people whom we won't forget.
