Michael,
Your father left a lasting legacy through his deeds and through you. You are a kind and wonderful person. I know your dad was proud of you as you are of him. Hold fast to all of the good memories and allow God to heal the hurt of it all. You and your mom are in my prayers.

My family and I have been Gerry's customers for well over 10 years... We always new before we walked into the store to give ourselves 10min. to our visit because he always had a lot to say. Very proud of his son's accomplishments, his wife's health and his loving dogs... We will always remeber him as good people. I cannot count on one hand how many people in this world who are genuine as he. May God Bless the family as they move forward and give them peace. He will be missed...

Mary Ellen and Michael,
We were shocked and saddened by the sudden passing of Gerry. I know we were only customers, but we have always felt closer than that. You always made time to visit with us and that made an impact on our lives. Gerry will be greatly missed by everyone in the community and especially by us. Our prayers are with you and your family.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Mr G's family. I lived across the street for over 20 years and would always come to the store. I enjoyed Gerry's warm personality and smiles. I remember his beloved pugs behind the counter with him each and every day. He was such a beautiful person and I am shocked and saddened by the news. A true gentleman has been taken from us.

Death, be not proud
Death, be not proud, though some have called thee
Mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so;
For those whom thou think'st thou dost overthrow
Die not, poor Death, nor yet canst thou kill me.
From rest and sleep, which but thy pictures be,
Much pleasure; then from thee much more must flow,
And soonest our best men with thee do go,
Rest of their bones, and soul's delivery.
Thou art slave to fate, chance, kings, and desperate men,
And dost with poison, war, and sickness dwell,
And poppy or charms can make us sleep as well
And better than thy stroke; why swell'st thou then?
One short sleep past, we wake eternally
And death shall be no more; Death, thou shalt die.

I have few words to say. Mr. G is one of the nicest people I have met.
I am in your store once or twice a week, and my husband is, also. Your family is so welcoming and friendly. I just can't say how much...I don't know what to say.
Our thoughts are with you.

To Gerry's family
I have only run into Gerry once since we graduated from the Rock in 1966, but he was a very special, funny man. On that one time that we bumped into each other, we talked for fifteen minutes and from Gerry it was all about his family. I am so very sad about his passing and my prayers are now directed to you and the rest of the family.

Fr. Gregg,
Sue and I, plus all of the members of the Massman Family, want to tell you we share the grief and sorrow in the death of your brother, Gerry. The horrible tragedy that struck is unbelievable, but reminds us, I guess, of how short life can be.
I have a commitment Tuesday with people to try and solve some long-term problems and unless the weather turns worse than it is, there's no way that I can see that I can be with you Tuesday.
You know have our prayers and sympathies and I know I speak for son, Jim, who will be in touch as well.

Dear Mary Ellen and Michael,
Elaine and I are so sad about Gerry’s passing. We were just shocked to hear what happened. He certainly did not deserve to go to his creator in this manner. We will always remember his contagious smile and friendly personality. We will never forget the wonderful road trips he planned for the four of us to take over the years. And we will miss the dinners we shared and trying new restaurants. We will miss him so very much. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

We were always close at school, literally, since in most classes we were seated alphabetically and he thus sat right behind me.
Sincerely,
