I am so sorry to hear that Greg has died. I have worked with him indirectly, at IBM, for MANY years. We both shared a 'love' for the Z Platform that we worked with for years. We were in a select Z group call the 'zChampions', probably because of our ages but also because we were/are a dying breed and knew this platform extensively. Greg and I have kept in touch about every 6 months following his retirement from IBM. I became concerned when I sent my most recent email to him and did not receive a reply. It never occurred to me until today to do a Google search on him and sadly I found his obituary. His last few emails to me were very encouraging about his weight loss and new workout ethic. This news is saddens me a lot. My sincere condolences to you, his family. We shared a lot of good times at the annual zChampions get together and I will miss him. My prayers are with you, his family and with him. Rest in Peace, my friend,

Greg and I spent some good time together at IBM work, meetings, events, and just informal times in the office where we shared a little of business bologna and personal little quips. He always included family in the time/discussions together. He worked a lot and loved you a lot. At work, Greg was one expanse of knowledge and experiences that he would share with me and many others, I'm sure. I saw Greg get unhappy with circumstances and incorrect opinions, BUT, I didn't see anger. He was a great guy, thank you for sharing him with us/me. Larry
