Hazel Lea Craig Weller

Hazel Lea Craig Weller, went home to be with the lord on March 11, 2005, surrounded by her family. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, March 14, at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S. Blackbob Rd., Olathe, KS. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 15 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 15315 W. 151st Street, Olathe, KS. Interment, White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Springfield, MO. In memory of Hazel, the family suggests remembrances to your favorite children's charities. She was born on August 27, 1915 in Peculiar, Missouri, to Everett and Letha Craig. She met and married Ivan Weller and to this union, two daughters were born. They moved to Shawnee, KS in 1965 where she lived until recently. Hazel enjoyed sewing, quilting, collecting dolls and spending time with her family and friends. She was loved by all who knew her. She leaves behind her daughters Nancy (Pat) Sledd of Warsaw, MO, Dr. Iva Lee Colgan of Olathe, KS, grandchildren Craig (Yvonne) Pingleton, Tiffany (David) Baker, and Justin Colgan, her sister Mary Shaffer and a host of extended family and friends.
