Helen Hedrick Obituary
August 29, 1937 - October 10, 2021
Shawnee, Kansas - Helen Elaine Hedrick, 84, Shawnee, KS passed away on October 10, 2021. She was born August 29, 1937, in Emporia, KS the daughter of Clarence and Helen (Sutton) Redman. Visitation at 10 am followed by services at 11 am on Monday, October 18 at Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Drive Shawnee, KS 66203. Burial will follow at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens.
Elaine attended two years at Emporia State University. She worked in the business office at two State Hospitals in Topeka and Parsons, KS. She enjoyed her work "family" at Calkins Electric Company for 46 years.
She had a great love for her family, especially her grandchildren, neighborhood gatherings, travel, serving and providing for others.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Elaine on September 27, 1963. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Elmer; two children and their spouses: Brad and Joanne Hedrick, Arlington, TX; Mark and Janette Beeler, Overland Park, KS: Beloved grandchildren: Easton Hedrick, Cameron and Claire Beeler. Sister: Barbara Younger. Brother and sister-in-law: Clarence "Bud" and Ann Redman and many loving nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
