Hester S. Mickelson

Hester S. Mickelson, 84, of Lee's Summit, MO passed away Saturday, July 23, 2005, at the John Knox Village Care Center. Private memorial services will be held Wednesday, July 27, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons, Floral Hills Chapel. Cremation. Inurnment in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. The family suggests no flowers but contributions to the Alzheimer's Association. Hester was born January 1, 1921 to Oliver D. and Magnolia (Burton) Streeval in Adair County, KY and had lived in this area most of her life. She was a homemaker, a member of the Unity School of Christianity, a former member of the Moose Lodge and was a member of the PTA in her younger years. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers and two sisters. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Ralph E. Mickelson of the home; her children, Terry Mickelson, Monica Sanders and Dennis Mickelson all of Kansas City; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. (Arr. D.W.
