It's been 19 years and not a day goes by that I don't think of him. I talked to him quite a bit I just wish he could tell me why he wasn't the only one I lost that day. I soon will be joining him and I'll get all the answers I need. Love you Dad!!! Can't wait to see you and mom too.

I never met Neil in person, but met him through the internet with a programming problem last year. We corresponded back and forth many times over a few weeks, and he finally discovered what the problem was. I kept in touch over the next few months, and sent him a gift at Christmas-a University of Kentucky ball cap. I never heard from him after I sent the gift. After getting no responses from the last few emails I sent, I finally got one returned as undeliverable today. I did a search for him, thinking his email address had changed. The obituary notice came up. I am so sorry for your loss. He seemed like a wonderful person, and spoke of his grandchildren often. God speed.

Dear family of Neil: I grew up with Neil in Houston and we played baseball on your grandfather's vacant lot while he( Mr. Crosby) watched carefully to see that we didnot pull up his newly planted oak trees which were the obvious bases! Neil was a funny and active boy; we all loved him. Park Place Methodist church was another place where we all met. A great family and I know that you are also. In His grip, Kitsie

A single tear streamed down his cheek on that happy day,
When the doctors told him “It’s a girl.” He shouts, “Hooray!”.
I can still hear his words saying to me “I’m his best girl”,
Then me having to stop and say, “Dad, I’m your only girl.”
I will yearn for the question he would often asked too,
And that was, “Have I told you lately that I love you?”
He not only showed me how to love his love was genuinely true,
But unfortunately when needed he showed me tough love too.
My Dad was nearly the perfect Father for years he also had to play as Mother,
As for me I could of worked on it more being a sweet and innocent Daughter.
If only we could turn the clock back in time,
I’d promise him I would be the perfect “Little Angel” kind.
He cherished and loved the grandchildren I gave to him,
nothing but boys Trevor, Jacob, Dustin and Dylan.
He helped fill the role their own Daddy’s missed,
He played catch, games or whatever they wished.
If a hug is what he needed then why didn’t he just say,
I could have him with me perhaps for another day.
It hurts so much that he didn’t want to say goodbye,
That would have perhaps given me one less moment to cry.
It was he I’d turn for comfort when my life was incomplete,
I hope God will give me strength, for this I must defeat.
Living this life will be the hardest thing for us to get through,
But for me I guess it’s time to grow up from being Daddy’s little girl too.
I know he was ready for it to be the end of his world
But in my heart and mind I’ll always be “Daddy’s Little Girl.”

Although I have never talked with him, I have been in contact with Freeman Crosby and I have found a wealth of Crosby information and it is very fortunate to have people like Neil and their hard work. God Bless you all and maybe we are cousins.

To Melanie and Neil's family
Although I never met Neil in person we were in frequent contact on-line and learned a lot together. I considered him a good friend and he will be greatly missed.

I was saddened to hear of Neil's passing. I recall the times we had together. I attended his rebaptism at the Methodist Church (I believe in Truman's Corners). That must have been in the late 70's or early 80's. I know Neil rests with the Lord. Nothing in this life could rob him of that reward.
My prayers and thoughts are with you.

Tim,
I can't tell you how saddened, Larry, and I feel about your dad!
He was a very special person to us,
I especially, feel sad, because I
worked with him for several years,
of course, as you know he was a
good friend. I still can't believe
this has happened. We will be praying for you and all your family, and please know our thoughts will be with you. I hope
you will keep in touch, because
we think of you often, and we will
always think of you as a very special person. Need to also let
you know Jennifer and Chad send their prayers.
Sincerely and with love,

Neil was a kind friend and warm person who was always glad to share his knowledge of technology. I was especially fond of that "magic dust" he could sprinkle on photos of old ladies to make us look like movie stars. To Neil's family, may God surround you with love and comfort and grant you peace.
