James Hauber Obituary

James R. Hauber, 85, of Kansas City, KS, died Monday, February 21, 2005, at Villa St. Joseph. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, February 28, at the Highland Park Funeral Home, burial in Highland Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 10-11 a.m. Monday at the Funeral Home. The family suggests contributions to the First Baptist Church of Kansas City, KS. Mr. Hauber was born September 28, 1919, in Horton, KS. He had worked as a controlman for the Phillips Refinery for 37 years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kansas City, KS, where he served as a Deacon, Trustee and was a member of the choir. He had also served in the Navy during WW II and the Kansas National Guard from 1939-1940. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cleo M. Hauber on January 27, 2005. He is survived by a daughter, Judy Jensen of Shawnee, KS, and a grandson, Brett Lovet of Liberty, MO. He is also survived by a sister, Betty Biogi of Antioch, CA.
