James "Brad" Hayes

November 5, 1958 - December 27, 2023

Kansas City, Kansas - James B. (Brad) Hayes passed away on December 27, 2023 after a long fought battle with cancer. Brad was born on November 5, 1958 in Kansas City, Kansas to James D. and Barbara J. Hayes and lived in the Turner area most of his life. He graduated from Turner High School in 1976 and went on to do sound and audio for many popular bands, including Shooting Star. Brad was an avid Chiefs fan and loved to attend games. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Barbara Hayes; and his beloved dog, "Buddy". Surviving are one sister, Lori Bond (Joe), one nephew, Michael Escareno (Jamie), great niece Lexi; and a great nephew, Jesse. He also leaves behind his long time partner, Tracey Ketner and a host of family and friends who will miss him greatly. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Kansas City Hospice for their compassionate care over the last few weeks. A visitation will take place from 12:00-1:00 PM with a Celebration of Life at 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at the Maple Hill Funeral Home.
