James Anthony Marx

James Marx Obituary

James Anthony Marx, 72, passed away March 30, 2009, at Providence Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas. He was born on January 16, 1937 to George and Elizabeth Gangel Marx in Kansas City, Missouri. He grew up in Johnson County, Kansas, and was a 1955 graduate of St. Agnes (Bishop Miege) High School. He was a U. S. Army veteran. He is survived by his wife, Linda; children Dianne (Mike) McCoart of Blue Springs, Stephanie (Brett) Dietrich of Independence, Kansas, Renee Smith of Iowa, and Wade Brothers of Kansas City; and nine grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers and three sisters: Barbara (Mike) Benson of Lone Jack, Shirley Valderrama of Mission Viejo, California, George (Ella) Marx of Kansas City, Kansas, Don (Barbara) Marx of Warsaw, Missouri, Bill (MaryAnn) Marx of Thousand Oaks, California, and Mary (Peter) Jeffers of Cardiff, California. A memorial service will be at Lenexa Baptist Church, 15320 West 87th St. Parkway, Lenexa, KS, 10 a.m., Friday, April 3. Condolences may be expressed by visiting www.marybutlermeyers.com.
