JANETTE WISER Obituary

JANETTE ROSEMARIE WISER Janette Rosemarie Driver's journey began Sept. 17, 1938, in Bexleyheath, Kent, England, and ended October 29, 2015, in Kansas City. A career at TWA landed her in KC where her journey took flight with the true love of her life, Denny Wiser. Jan danced 51 years with the man of her dreams. Her legacy is her devotion to her family and 4 children, David Wiser (Tina); Rick Wiser; Christian Wiser (Kerry); and Allison Karges (Craig); 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She was the quintessential homemaker. Long before there was a Martha Stewart, there was Jan Wiser! Her kitchen, master gardening, love of books and literature, and her warm and loving spirit made her many lifelong friends of all ages. Life is what you make of it. Jan embraced her journey passing peacefully into the arms of Denny, an everlasting love, and now they are forever united, dancing the Irish Jig and perhaps even enjoying their scotch together! Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, in the chapel at Country Club Christian Church, 6101 Ward Parkway, KCMO.

Jan was my friend, I miss her. We met when we both lived at Kenilworth Apartments in Prairie Village. We loved the Friday night music and dancing. We shared many lunches, dinners and happy hours. She was charming, brave and beautiful. She is gone too soon.

I will miss my mom very much. I feel she lived a full and happy life. I will miss her desire for a "good old chin wag" as she would say it and her love for dancing. She will be with my dad now in her "happy place". In that respect I am happy for her. She loved the Royals, it is sad she did not get to see them win the World Series. Maybe she did from above, one can only hope and wonder. Goodbye mom and dad, I will miss both of you terribly!
