John Arthur Goodwin

March 8, 1960 - July 22, 2025

Lakewood Ranch, Florida - Dr. John Arthur Goodwin, 65, passed away on July 22, 2025, in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.

Born on March 8, 1960, John was a dedicated physician whose life was marked by compassion and service. He graduated from Concordia High School in Concordia, Kansas, and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Kansas. He continued his education at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, earning his medical degree before completing a pediatric residency at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.

John began his medical career in private pediatric practice in Overland Park, Kansas from 1989 to 1995. He then joined the University of Kansas Medical Center's Department of Pediatrics, where he served until 2012. His career as a practicing physician was cut short by Multiple Sclerosis, but his dedication to children's health left a lasting impact on colleagues and patients alike.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
