Kansas City, Missouri - John Paul Hagen Jr.
Born August 10, 1935 Passed away peacefully January 11, 2023 surrounded by his family. John was born in Kansas City Kansas to John P Hagen Sr and Angeline Kovach Hagen, the firstborn son of 11 children. John was united in marriage to Helen Ann Werkowitch on June 19, 1954. Together they raised four children, Michael J Hagen (Susan), Steven R Hagen (Kim), Staci A Hagen and Lisa M Hagen; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren whom all reside in Kansas City.
John was a certified master builder of many quality and custom homes in the Kansas City Northland. John also built his lake home at Pomme de Terre Lake which he enjoyed with his family.
John and Helen loved to travel especially to their Kahlua Beach Club condominium in Fort Myers Beach, Florida. In addition to family gatherings, John loved carpentry projects, homemade wine making, golfing, and landscaping.
Visitation at 10 am, Mass at 11 am on January 18, 2023 at Saint Charles Borromeo 900 NE Shady Lane Dr., Gladstone, MO 64118 followed by the burial at White Chapel Cemetery 6600 NE. Antioch Rd., Gladstone, MO 64119. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Saint Jude Children's Hospital 501 Saint Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105

To Helen Ann and family
It is a sad time to say goodbye to those you love.
I was oversees when you were married to John. My earliest memory of John when my mother and dad had John do a hardwood repair to a register vent. He was just starting to do carpeting work
You could see his skill in what would be his Lifes work.
Helen our prayers will be with you. We had so many good times with family.

Sorry to hear of John´s passing. I serve with John on the board of North land national bank for several years he was a great guy. My sympathies go out to family I will keep him in my prayers
