Blue Springs, Missouri - Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, John Lee Stone, 77, of Blue Springs, MO, died on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Ignite Medical Resort St. Mary's in Blue Springs, MO. His death resulted from complications related to a hip fractured while falling.

Mr. Stone was born in Kansas City, MO, on June 27, 1948, the son of Elmer Lee Stone, an automobile dealer, and Marjorie May Stone (née Owens), a professional teacher who worked much of her life in special education after first rearing her son during Mrs. Stone's homemaking years.

I met John at Ignite, my mother is there. We became good friends. John was a blessing. He always had a smile on his face and was happy to see you. I enjoyed visiting with him. His kind nature and loving smile will be greatly missed!

John was a great and fun guy to know. Always friendly and good conversationalist! I got to know him through one of his best friends -Leonard Turpen (they knew and kept in touch since 4th grade!) I used to love to hear about their adventures growing up together. We will miss John, may he rest In peace. He was a good guy!
