Joshua Goddard Obituary

Joshua David Goddard was born on May 25, 1978, and departed this world on November 26, 2005, in Auckland, New Zealand. He was born in Olathe, KS, but was a life long resident in the Grain Valley/Blue Springs area. He graduated from Grain Valley High School in 1996. Joshua worked at Zarda Bar-B-Q from 1995-2005. This included Catering Mgr. Blue Springs, Manager at the Overland Park location and also Manager at the Zarda store in Lenexa. Josh became a property owner and had plans of buying more. He had a keen interest in investing for his future. Josh chose the journey to New Zealand and saw it to it's end. He is now on a much greater journey. Josh leaves behind an enormous extended family in the quad county area. So many names that it would fill this page. And too, an equally large number of friends. Please come and help us celebrate Josh's life Thursday, December 8, from 7-10 p.m., at Clancy's Cafe and Pub, 800 NW South Outer Road in Blue Springs MO. Tell a story, read a poem or just come by and share in the memories a very unique and very much loved young man. The Banquet Room is a smoke free environment and children are more than welcome.

I just want to hear you say "'Ello seester" in your stupid foreign-robot voice one more time. And I wish you could see my house and build all kinds of crazy improvements for it. Everytime I think about installing or fixing anything, I still think,"No prob, I'll just call Josh." ... but I can't.

I would ask you "why?" but I know, if you could answer, you'd just say,"Don't ask stupid questions unless you want stupid answers." That was your signature cop-out answer to avoid big discussions with your little sister.

God, I miss you more than you could ever imagine.

Love Always,

Your Little Seester

Josh,

When I heard about you I couldn't beleive it. I know it had been a while since we had seen each other, but I never thought that I would never see you again. I will always remember the happy times and you will always hold a special place in my heart and thoughts.

Josh,

I can't believe this has happened. I mean, you were here at the BBQ one second and then gone the next. I always enjoyed working alongside ya at work, its always cool working with familiy. Yet, when i remember you, its always going to be from those fourth of july parties at Uncle Mike's place...i miss ya cousin.

Josh-

I wish I had more time with you to truly let you know how much I admired, respected, and loved you. Your determination, strength and your journey for truth is something that will always be remembered. Those qualities in you will now be carried on through your memory and your family/friends.

We may not have spent a lot of time together outside family gatherings but I always felt this closeness towards you that just seemed to be an unspoken love we had for each other, I will cherish that forever.

I love you!

Dear Heather and Family,

I never knew or met Josh, but I learned alot about him and his life adventures on his website. Although his physical body was only here for a short time, he did live an amazing life. My wife and I send prayers of strength and understanding for your entire family.
