Joyce Y. Pinkerton Urba, 79, of Overland Park, KS passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2014. She was born on July 26, 1935 to Thomas Bennett and Evelyn Blackford in Blackburn, MO. Joyce married Paul K. Pinkerton in 1953. They were married for 43 years. In 2004 Joyce married John R. Urba. She was a Mary Kay Consultant for 29 years. Joyce was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Overland Park. She is preceded in death by her husband's Paul Pinkerton and John Urba, her parents and brother Hugh B. Blackford. She is survived by three daughters, Paula (Kent) Thompson, Pam (Don) Arnott and Ann (Richard) McCroskey; one sister, Karen (Bruce) Easton; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and four nephews. Her family would like to thank the staff at Senior Care Homes, Grace Hospice, Bethany Lutheran Church and Pastor Ed Trost for her continued care. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Bethany Lutheran Church, 9101 Lamar Ave, Overland Park, KS. Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at the church.
