Shawnee, Kansas - Our adored Kevin Earl Haley, age 64, of Shawnee, KS, entered fully into the presence of the Lord on Tuesday, July 20, 2021. A devoted family man, loving husband, father, son, mentor to many, and a faithful friend to all. Kevin finished the race well that Christ called him to run. He devoted his life in service to loving God and others. Kevin passed peacefully, surrounded by family.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Shawn Elizabeth; his children Benjamin John Haley, Layne Haley Whitehouse, Ali Elizabeth Thomas, and Hailey Keene Wiebe; daughter-in-law Rachel; sons-in-law Ryan Louis Whitehouse, Evan William Thomas, and Craig Michael Wiebe; his grandchildren Samuel David Haley, Anna Layne Haley, Jude Michael Haley, Max Olivia Whitehouse, Ava Van Tuyl Whitehouse, Olivia Grace Wiebe, Evelyn Faye Thomas, and Elijah Meeks Wiebe. He is also survived by his mother Peggy; brothers Paul Edward Haley and James Scott Haley.
Born in St. Louis on February 13, 1957 to Peggy and James Haley, Kevin was a lover and fighter to the end. He graduated from Tarkia College with a degree in Business. He worked at Anheuser-Busch for 20 years. He was married to Lucy Hayward for 17 years. On January, 11, 1981 and July 21, 1985 respectively, he welcomed his two children into the world. On February 5, 2000 he married Shawn, whom he met at church through a mutual friend, welcoming her children, Ali and Hailey, into the family.
