Lorene Sexton Obituary

Lorene O. Sexton, age 88, of Lake Sexton, near Knob Noster, MO, passed away Friday, March 25, 2005, at the Western Missouri Medical Center. She was born on September 12, 1916, in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Clarence Loudon and Pearl Wright Loudon. On February 21, 1937, she married Lowell T. Sexton in Olathe, KS. He preceded her in death on June 6, 2003. Mrs. Sexton was a homemaker. She was a member of the Leeds Baptist Church, was an active member of the PTA, and took great pleasure in supporting her beloved grandchildren in their activities. Survivors include her daughter, Mary F. Wilson and husband, Jim, of Knob Noster, MO; two grandchildren, Lowell Andrew "Andy" Wilson and wife, Brenda of Warrensburg, and Lori Lynn Kayser, also of Warrensburg; four great-grandchildren, Joey, Macy, Sydney and Abbey. Also surviving is a sister-in-law, Thelma Loudon; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Leland and Vera Sexton and Donald and Jennie Lamb. She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2005, at the home at Lake Sexton. Reverend Carl Kerr will be officiating. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer's Foundation and may be left at the Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home, Warrensburg.
