Peggy left a huge legacy with school nursing. We, as nurses, besides all of the students and families whose lives she touched, are better off because of her efforts. She made a huge positive contribution and has had a huge positive influence on the lives of many. WE are fortunate to have known and worked with her.

I had the privilege of being hired by Peggy Barron the final year of her career with Olathe Public Schools. Peggy was a wonderful mentor to me. She was ahead of her time with programming in health services; our district remains a leader to this day due to many things she initiated such as monitoring data from year to year. I was also privileged to step into her position in 1995, a position she held for 21 years. She continued throughout her life to be my cheerleader, always interested in what was going on in school nursing. She was a public health champion, and am blessed to have called her my friend and colleague.

Enjoyed Peggy's care and concern for campers at KAY camp. She was a joy to be with while on Staff at camp. I was blessed to have her in my life. Glenda Smith

Peggy was a treasured mentor, a kind and gentle woman with incredible insight. I served under her at the Developmental Learning Center from 1985 until her retirement. I will be out of town during her memorial service. So sorry to miss honoring her. She left a wonderful legacy. Sincerely, Joellyn Randall
