Leawood, Kansas - Martha Ann Horan, 89, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on August 17th, 2022.
Services will be as follows on Thursday, August 25th at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 14251 Nall Ave., Leawood, Kansas -- Visitation will be held at 9:30 am, followed by the Rosary at 10:30 am, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Private interment will follow.
Martha was born in Kansas City, Kansas on January 1st, 1933. She graduated from Loretto High School and then attended St. Theresa of Avila College graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Her career in nursing began at St. Joseph Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri, and then at Bethany Providence Hospital as surgical instructor. Martha met her husband, Jerry, in February 1954 on a blind date with her twin sister, Maureen Gravino. Martha and Jerry were married for 65 years and have 5 children, Patrick (Mariclaire), Cheryl (Michael), Kellie (John), Terry (Lori), Marie (Victor).
Martha also has 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Her interests were gardening, travel, music, and reading.
