We loved seeing Dave and family at the Gauger family reunions in Charles City. He always had a big smile and we loved laughing with him. We also loved to talk about our Harleys. He nominated Rich to be chairman of the family reunions and part of the deal was that he would be at every one. We will miss him! Our love and prayers go to you, his family. Rich and Jan

I would like to thank everybody for there kind words and thoughts during this time of sudden loss. We were supposed to have a good 15-20 fun years left to hunt, talk about bikes, and complain about the Chiefs. I don't ever remember meeting someone who knew my dad that did'nt have a story to tell about him involving something fun/funny. He was very proud of and loved every member of his family and extened family. thanks

1939 - 2005 The years do not matter. It's the "dash" that's important. Dave lived it well. I shared only a few little dots in Dave's dash. They were fun. Dave always had a helping hand to extend. Few, if any, had a loving heart as big as Dave's. So many memories - but I must share one.

Dave wore a new deer hunting coverall for 5 days and complained how hard it was to get on, take off and relieve himself. He was going to complain to the mfg. when we got back. On the 5th day his wife Patsy joined us and ask why he was wearing his coverall backwards - enough said. He will be missed a lot but not forgot. Gerald

It is a rare pleasure to have known someone with such a large heart and smile. Thank God that Dave shared both with the masses. We will all miss him dearly.
