Mary "Marie" Kuhn

Mary "Marie" Kuhn, age 82, of Edwardsville, Kan., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday August 16, 2009, while surrounded by her family. Funeral Eucharist will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Edwardsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. prior to the service also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the St. Martin's In the Field Building Fund or the Kansas City Hospice both in care of the Alden- Harrington Funeral Home. Marie was born on May 31, 1927, in Kansas City, Kan. She grew up in Kansas City, Kan., and lived all of her adult life in Edwardsville. She was married to her husband, Bill Kuhn, in 1946. She became a member of the Episcopal Church at the age of 11. Marie was a member of the Depression Glass Club and Fenton Glass Club. She was a loving Wife and Mother and supported Bill and her children in every way she could. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Bill Kuhn in 2001, and by one grandson, Billy Willis in 2007. Survivors include her two daughters, Deborah Shaw and Kenneth of Edwardsville and Donna Willis and husband Johnny of Olathe, Kan.; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends.
