Matthew Mummert

Matthew E. "Matt" Mummert, Oak Grove, MO, died Sunday, July 26, 2005, at a hospital in Albuquerque, NM. He was born September 7, 1979, in Warrensburg, MO, the son of Floyd Dean Mummert and Melba Ann (Haynes) Mummert. Matt was a truck driver for McCulley Oil Co. in Kansas City, KS. He also loved cars and enjoyed going to race at the drag strips on Friday nights. Survivors include his mother Melba Morrill and stepfather Timothy, Oak Grove, MO; father Floyd Mummert, California, MO; brother Kelly Mummert and wife Janet, Cole Camp, MO; maternal grandfather Charles Haynes and maternal step-grandmother Mabel Haynes, Lee's Summit, MO; paternal grandmother Fern Scholl, Sedalia, MO; two nieces, Morgan and Skylar Mummert, Cole Camp, MO; several great-aunts and great-uncles, including Leeta "Uncle Leeta" Scott, Tipton, MO; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his grandfather and grandmother, a step-grandfather, a great-uncle, an aunt, and an uncle. Funeral services will be Friday, July 1 at 2 p.m. at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, MO, Rev. Doug Hall officiating. Family will receive friends Friday afternoon one hour before the service from 1-2 p.m. Burial in Cole Camp Memorial Cemetery, Cole Camp, MO.
