Megan Brychel Obituary

Lenexa, Kansas - Megan Elaine Brychel, 42, of Lenexa, Kansas passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2022. Megan was born July 13, 1979, in Golden Valley, Minnesota to James A and Donnell L (Rauscher) Brychel.
Megan graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School in 2001 followed by enrollment into day services at Johnson County Developmental Supports (JCDS). Megan had a profound love and fervor for JCDS and it's staff that continued throughout the remainder of her life.
Megan loved animals, (especially her dog Moose), fancy hats, shopping, swimming, taking and printing photographs and watching her favorite television programs.
Despite being a woman of few spoken words, she had the uncanny ability to enrich the lives of others and an infectious spirit that radiated love and happiness throughout her world.
Megan is survived by her mother, Donnell, of Lenexa, KS, two siblings: Jessica Finazzo, of Olathe, KS, Christopher Brychel of Lenexa, KS, nieces Laney and Kaiya Finazzo and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, James A Brychel.
A memorial service for Megan will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 7740 Lackman Road, Shawnee, KS 66217. Contributions in her memory may be made to JCDS, or a charity of your choice.

Megan so enjoyed volunteer enrichment, the cutting, gluing, creating projects put a smile on her face when she was making them. Megan´s excitement often bubbled over into the phrase " I did" and that put a smile on our faces every time. Megan was a part of our day services "family" and I can´t even begin to tell you how much she is missed but I can say this: that sometimes you only recognize an angel by the wings you find that you yourself have grown, just by knowing her......and sometimes you know an angel only by the miracles she leaves blossoming in her path after she is gone. Both of those are from The Angel Book and reminded me of Megan. I know that she had the best morning ever and was enjoying her favorite things and for that I am thankful.
