Melinda Lea William Melinda William (born Mindy Sailors), 46, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away in her home of natural causes on Monday June 4, 2018 . She was born October 17, 1971 in Kansas City Missouri, the daughter of Richard and Carole Ann (Kit) Sailors. Mindy graduated from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Studies. She was employed by YRC freight in Leawood, Kansas. She would often say, "I love my job and the people I work with". In high school she won the Timothian award. She also won the Kanakuk award for Most Courageous, and awards in her work. She accepted Christ as her Savior as a young girl and had a relentless faith and optimism. She always saw her struggles and hopes as part of a larger plan. Mindy had a deep and enduring love for her family and her greatest joy was her two girls. She leaves behind her two daughters, Sydni and Zoe William, her parents Richard and Carole (Kit) Sailors, her 98 year old Grandmother Mildred Fuller, three brothers, Scott, Christopher and Kipp. One niece, Victoria and four nephews, Ryan, Austin, Ben and Richard. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 13, at 1:00pm at the Wesley chapel of the Church of the Resurrection 13720 Roe, Leawood, Kansas.
