Mikeal Anthony Santoyo Sr., 59, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro, KY. Born and raised in Kansas City, KS, Mikeal was a proud graduate of Turner High School. He later relocated to Kentucky but always carried his Kansas roots. For 36 years, Mike lived out his lifelong dream as a professional wrestler, captivating audiences across the country as "Madd Mexx." His passion for entertaining and connecting with people left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife, Nina Ann Santoyo; his sons, Mikeal Santoyo Jr., Charles (Clorissa) Barbosa, and Xavier Barbosa; his cherished granddaughters, Emerald and Symira Barbosa; his sisters, Lucy (Max) Maldonado and Marylou Santoyo-Vasquez; and his brother, Joe (Linda Pendleton) Santoyo. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Bessie and Joe Santoyo; his siblings, Linda Santoyo, Leo Mark Santoyo, and Paul John Santoyo; and his son, Joseph Santoyo. He will be laid to rest beside his parents in a private graveside service at Maple Hill Cemetery.
