I watched misty grow from a girl to a wonderful woman. She was my sister in law, my friend, my sister, and a wonderful aunt. Nothing could ever take away the memories that we have of her or the regret that there will be no more of them in the future. I know that she and sydney are in a better place, but still wish that we could have had more time with her and a chance to be an aunt to sydney. Misty, we love and miss you very much, but will always hold your memory close to our hearts. We will never forget what has happened, but hopefully with time the pain will ease.

Misty, my cousin,
I'm going to miss you deeply. You were alway's such an uplifting and encouraging person to me, even though age seperated us. I will miss our camping trips, walks and talks, but most of all, your smile. The one that lit up the room when you came in. The one that shown in your eye's and made everyone else smile back. I know you and Sydney are with God now, but you will be missed here with us. Your family loves you so much!
Aunt Gail, And U.D.
I love you both SO MUCH, and will be there for you what ever you need. Nothing I can say will make it easier, but know I'm there for you all. My prayers will never cease, and we will nevre forget...

Gail and Darrell,
There are no words that can ease your pain right now. From a mom who has lost her precious daughter, I can tell you that time does ease the pain. However, there are days when it feels like yesterday all over again. Those times are when we rely on God to get us through. Memories are priceless gifts that are given to us. Take time to celebrate the gifts that Misty has given to you. Such a short time has passed since we were neighbors and our kids played together. Please know that our love, thoughts, and prayers are with you and your family.

I did not know Misty personally-however I did know of her through my sister Carmen. It is really sad to lose someone so young. I hope that in the coming weeks and months that everyone leans on their faith to get them through the pain and hurt. God Bless Misty's family.

MISTY,
THOUGH WE HAVE BEEN APART TO MUCH OVER THE YEARS YOU WERE ALWAYS IN MY HEART AND MY THOUGHTS. I WISH I COULD HAVE BEEN BY YOUR SIDE. NOT CALLING YOU BACK THAT DAY IS NOW SOMETHING I WILL REGRET FOREVER. YOU WERE ALWAYS MY INSPIRATION. YOU WERE ALWAYS SO VERY STRONG AND OPINIONATED AND YOU TAUGHT ME TO THINK FOR MYSELF. EVERYTHING IN MY LIFE TO THIS DAY HAS INVOLVED YOU IN SOME WAY. I WOULDN'T EVEN HAVE MY CHILDREN IF IT WEREN'T FOR YOU. I LOVE YOU MISTY AND YOU WILL BE WITH ME FOREVER.YOU ARE A PERSON THE WORLD SHOULD NOT BE WITHOUT.

Although Misty and I did not remain close as her adult-hood began, we had time growing up together that will never be forgotten! She was my cousin and my friend, i looked up to her and I dont know how to come to peace with the fact i will never have a chance to be close to her again!
Misty I love you, give our angel Sydney Kay a kiss for me!See you @ home!

I was shocked and saddened when I heard the news of Misty and her baby girl Sydney's passing. I know how close Misty was to her family and friends and I can only imagine what you must be going through right now. Misty was one of the most bright, talented and thoughtful people I’ve ever known. The few times I had the opportunity to work with Misty when she was a new dispatcher, I was very impressed with her natural ability at a job few want to do or can do. She always kept officer safety as her number one priority.
I’ll never forget her contagious smile and the beautiful crocheted blankets she made. While it's comforting to know Misty and Sydney are no longer suffering, the world has suffered a great loss without them here. She will be greatly missed.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this unfortunate time.

Misty--
You were my friend, my work out partner and Carrie and my Mary-Kay girl. I enjoyed our talkes, while working out, on 'talk', by text and on the phone. I know that you did all that you could do to keep us safe while you are one earth....I know now that you are doing all that you can to keep us safe while you are in heaven. Please know that all my love, thoughts and prayers are with you, your mom, dad, and siblings!!! I'll miss you Misty!!

Misty, I miss you already. It is hard to look at your console and realize that you will not be back. For over three years we sat side-by-side and worked as the dynamic duo on evening shift. No other partner will take your place. I already miss your big smile and hearty laugh. As you rest with Jesus and Sydney I know you will always be looking down on us. I love you.

Misty spent a great deal of time with my daughter Stephanine at our house in Indpendence when the girls were in highschool. I have six children and it was Misty that I liked the best out of all their friends. She was a warm, witty, friendly girl who I will dearly miss.
It's a shame that some one so young has been taken from us.

My dear daughter, Daddy and I are going to miss you so much. I don't know what to do without you. You're our baby girl. I can still feel your touch on my shoulder, the night before you died. I can still hear your words in my ear, saying, I love you. Misty, we are so sorry we couldn't help you more. We tried very hard Misty. Daddy and I know you are with Jesus and your baby, Syndey. I'm so use to talking to you, 2or 3 times a day, now what? How do I get through this, you not being here? I don't know misty. I don't know. Daddy and I love you so much. You will always be our babygirl. Love you, Mom and Dad

IF TEARS COULD BUILD A STAIRWAY AND MEMORIES A LANE I WOULD WALK RIGHT UP TO HEAVEN AND BRING YOU BACK AGAIN
NO FAREWELL WORDS WERE SPOKEN, NO TIME TO SAY GOODBYE. YOU WERE GONE BEFORE I KNEW IT, AND ONLY GOD KNOWS WHY.
MY HEART STILL ACHES WITH SADNESS AND SECRET FEARS STILL FLOW
WHAT IT MEANT TO LOVE YOU NO ONE WILL EVER KNOW.
BUT NOW I KNOW YOU WANT ME TO MOURN FOR YOU NO MORE
BUT, TO REMEMBER ALL THE HAPPY TIMES LIFE STILL HAS MUCH MORE IN STORE.
SINCE YOU'LL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN, I PLEDGE TO YOU TODAY-- A HOLLOWED PLACE WITH IN MY HEART IS WHERE YOU'LL ALWAYS STAY.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
