Shawnee, Kansas - Our Nancy Ann Craig (neé Alexander) passed away peacefully on September 8th, 2021, seven years after a brain aneurysm. Loved ones surrounded her, and beautiful music accompanied her last breaths. A piano teacher, private school and SMSD educator, joyful gardener, animal lover, and member of the Shawnee Mission Unitarian Universalist Church, Nancy Craig brightened the lives of everyone she met. She taught piano and directed choirs and bands, and sang with her husband Russ in SATB groups in Colorado and Kansas. Her friends, family, children and grandchildren were blessed by her cheerful optimistic spirit.
Nancy is preceded in death by husband Russell Craig, parents John T. and Elna Alexander of Shawnee, KS. She is survived by her son Dr. Frank Alexander (Isaac) Hamill, daughter Amy (John) Cruz and her 4 children, step-daughter Jocelyn Jacobs and her 3 children, 6 grandchildren, step-son Dan Craig (deceased) and his daughter.
