Nancy Davis Obituary

Nancy Ann Davis, Colonel, U.S. Marine Corps, Retired, passed away on February 20, 2026 at the age of 79. She was born November 3, 1946 in Providence, RI, and lived most of her life in Kansas City and Lees Summit, MO. Nancy earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Rhode Island College after high school, then joined the Marine Corps in 1967, retiring at the rank of Colonel. Following her distinguished military career, Nancy sought training in the mental health field, earning a Master of Arts degree in Counseling and Guidance from UMKC in 1983 and becoming a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. She worked for many years at the University of Kansas Medical Center before retiring in 2020. Nancy was predeceased by her parents John and Mary Davis. She is survived by her siblings, Patricia Davis, John Davis Jr, and Mary Davis. She also survived by her longtime companion, Nancy Rahfaldt. Nancy Davis was a kind, generous, and spiritual person and she will live in our hearts always.
