Nancy Tinney Obituary

Nancy Ann "Nanny" Tinney, 69, of Independence, MO, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2003, at the Independence Regional Health Center. Visitation will be 7-8:30 p.m. Saturday, January 18, at George C. Carson and Sons Funeral Home. Inurnment will be at a later date. Mrs. Tinney was born on May 4, 1933, to Max and Minerva Hohenberg in Kansas City, MO. She moved back to this area in 1964 after living in various parts of the world while her husband was in the Military. She had been a Dental Hygienist at the Truman Medical Center East for many years. She was a member of the Eastern Star of Misawa, Japan. Mrs. Tinney is survived by her husband, Jack G. Tinney of the home; a son, Randy Tinney and wife, Sharon of Warrensburg, MO; a daughter, DeeDeeLee Davis and husband, Robert of Smithville, MO; a stepson, Michael Tinney and wife, Cindy of Fayetteville, TN; three brothers, Mack Rininger of Seattle, WA, Paul Hohenberg of Puyallup, WA and Jim Hohenberg of Lone Jack, MO; a sister, Audrey Hohenberg of Independence, MO; seven grandchildren, Aimee Tinney, Rick Tinney and wife, Elif, Kevin Peoples, Jack Peoples, Michael Tinney, Krista Tinney and Cindy Wirtz and husband, Tom; and two greatgrandchildren.
