Nola Busch Obituary

Nola M. Busch was born in Kansas City on December 10, 1950, and passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Nola was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary-Lou Janacaro, and her beloved son, David Busch. She is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Don Busch; her sons Jeremy (Amy) and Frank (Laura); her sister Martha Smith and brother Larry Janacaro. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren-Cassidy, Tyler, Kyle, and Bella-as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

For 17 years, Nola owned and operated the City Diner in Kansas City, where she worked side by side with her sons. Her humor, warmth and welcoming spirit made the diner a beloved gathering place, and her ability to connect with everyone she met meant she never knew a stranger.

Nola's kindness, humor, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed. In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held. The family will gather privately for a burial service.

In remembrance, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in lieu of flowers.
