Patsy Jane Paschall Barr

Patsy Jane Paschall Barr, 73, Kansas City, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 25th, surrounded by her loving family after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Visitation will be held 6:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2009 followed by funeral services at 7:00 p.m. at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 29, 2009 at Oakwood in Neosho, MO. Patsy was born on June 24, 1936 in Neosho, MO. After growing up in the Ozarks, Patsy moved to the Kansas City area in 1961. As the heart and soul of her wonderful family, she raised her four children throughout the 1960s and 70s. In 1982, she went to work at her husband's medical practice, Midwest Surgeons Services, as the office manager, and stayed there until retirement in 2002. In the mean time, she loved spending Sundays with her entire family, especially her grandchildren. After retirement, she enjoyed family get- togethers, baking, gardening and keeping in touch with friends and loved ones. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Glenn Barr, and her parents, Raymond and Sadie Paschall. She is survived by her adoring family, including her daughter Pam and husband Dan Laub, and sons; Stephen, David and wife Lin, Scott and wife Stacy, brothers; Johnnie and wife Marjorie, Billie and wife Debbie Paschall, her beloved grandchildren Lonnie and wife Alissa Laub, Justin, Stephanie, and Sarah Laub, Melissa and Brandon Barr, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends.
